Textiles is our largest workshop, and is composed of several sub-workshops, each with its particular area of expertise, including sewing, embroidery and applique.

With over one-third of our elderly artisans working in this department, the sense of community is strongly felt here. Collaborations between sections are a regular occurrence, as are shared celebrations  of a fellow artisan’s simcha (happy occasion). It’s also not uncommon to see artisans sharing daily snacks or organizing an exercise session on the adjoining balcony.
